Alegria- The Festival of Joy’, is one of Mumbai’s largest college cultural festivals organized by Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai College, Navi Mumbai. It started in 2013 and is generally held in the first week of February and spans over 4-5 days. Alegria is a Spanish word which translates to joy, happiness or cheer and so is the motto which speaks “Alegria-The Festival of Joy”

The festival includes events, contests in literary, performing arts, fine arts, informals, management, sports and gaming categories with a number of workshops. Pillai’s group of colleges was one of a kind to have established a festival of this big stature.
